Tangible (http://www.tangible.co) is a product marketing, product design, and design thinking agency. We solve complicated marketing and design problems for tech brands at every stage of growth. Our home office is in San Francisco, CA, but we are remote by design, with employees spread across the country. We have team members who typically work between 20-40 hours a week on project assignments for our clients.
We need a Designer who excels at working within design systems and bringing creative concepts to life with precision. You'll primarily focus on executing and implementing design solutions within established frameworks, while occasionally contributing to creative concept development under guidance. This role requires someone who can balance attention to detail with efficient execution — implementing approved design directions within existing design systems while supporting creative development when needed.
We're looking for strong production skills, including image optimization for web and digital platforms, preparing assets for various mediums, and ensuring design quality through technical execution. You should be comfortable handling projects from creative brief to final deliverable, with the technical know-how to ensure designs are implemented correctly.
We value designers with a growth mindset who are eager to learn and improve their craft. While you'll need to be technically proficient in production work, we're equally interested in your passion for design and willingness to take on new challenges. Above all, you'll have a keen eye for detail and organization, particularly in maintaining clean Figma files that support team collaboration.
As a Designer at Tangible, you'll focus primarily on skilled execution and implementation within a highly collaborative team environment. You'll work within established design systems and brand guidelines to create high-quality visual solutions, supporting senior team members in creative development when needed. You'll refine and implement design directions with precision, ensuring consistency across all deliverables. Throughout all projects, you'll collaborate closely with fellow designers, strategists, copywriters, and project managers under the guidance of senior team members. You'll help ensure design implementation is as flawless as the concepts themselves, working with developers to bring designs to life without compromise. Your success will come from your technical skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in our collaborative culture.
This is a part-time, hourly position. There is no guarantee of hours, but our estimates call for 15-25 hours/week of project work, with a possibility that will increase over time (we can’t make promises in this regard, but our business is thriving and growing!). The hourly rate for this position ranges between $58 - $75 an hour, paid bi-weekly, based on experience.
Tangible provides an array of benefits including paid time off/sick leave, 4% 401(k) contributions after 6 months of employment (these are guaranteed contributions, not a match dependent on your contributions), and the ability to purchase into a group rate for health coverage.
We supply each employee with a computer for work purposes, preloaded with the software/licenses needed to do your job. Other personal equipment and peripheral devices (such as personal phones, monitors, printers, etc.) are not provided, but Tangible provides a small stipend per pay period to support personal devices and internet costs.
Tangible is committed to telling diverse stories, reflecting our diverse audiences, and drawing from diverse experiences and perspectives. We're passionate about creating opportunities for designers from all backgrounds and are actively working to increase diversity in our company and the design field. We welcome applicants who bring fresh perspectives and who are eager to grow with us. Tangible is an equal opportunity employer and values equity and inclusion.
